How to Submit Images for Monthly Slide Show |
Each month members can submit up to four images that follow the published monthly theme. All images must be sized to 1024 x 768. Images must be emailed to Jerry Koons. His email address may be found in our member roster. File names must be in the following format: Last name _ first name_ 01. So for James Dunn, the first image to be submitted will be named Dunn _ James _ 01, the second will be named Dunn _ James _02, and so on. |

February Theme Transportation – It moves and you can get on or in it

March Theme Photos that tell a story – a rose is not always just a rose

Additional March Theme Beaufort, NC Field Trip

April Theme Wildlife other than birds or zoo critters – they can be real or whimsical, live or not, stuffed or not (use your imagination) - for those of us who have not been on safari

May Theme Clouds – cumulus nimbus, altocumulus floccus, cirrus uncinus or whatever fluffy kinds you have. Clouds that kind of look like something might be interesting.

June Theme Life is beautiful – whatever makes you happy

July Theme No slide show if we are at the beach
|
August Theme Flotsam & Jetsam – it washed up on the beach or shoreline
|
September Theme Textures, shapes & colors – See the picture within the picture
|
October Theme In the dark – photos using limited light
|
November Theme FX or your favorite filter or HDR – grab your photos & apply your favorite techniques, filters or HDR to them no matter how outlandish it might be. Think Wild.

December Theme CCCC party – no slideshow

How to Resize a Single Image to 1024 x 768 and Email |
Optional method to resizing without using editing software such as Photoshop |
For Windows XP – Vista – Windows 7 |
- Right click on the image icon - usually a thumbnail – slide pointer down to “send to”, slide pointer over to “mail recipient” and click.
- A box will appear. At the bottom left of the box, click on “Show More Options”, click in “Large (fits in 1024 x 768 window) “ (for Vista & Windows 7 – these options may show without “Show More Options”)
- Click OK. Your email software will emerge. Address the email – write a brief note - (optional) then send the email
| | | | How to Resize multiple images to 1024 x 768 and Email | Optional method to resizing without using editing software such as Photoshop | For Windows XP – Vista – Windows 7 | - Left click on the first image icon, hold "Ctrl" key down while clicking on each of the other images until all have been selected. (Each image should be highlighted) The mouse pointer should still be on the last selected image.
- Now right click - slide pointer down to "send to", slide pointer over to “mail recipient” and click.
- A box will appear. At the bottom left of the box, click on “Show More Options”, click in "Large (fits in 1024 x 768 window)"
- Click OK. Your email software will emerge. Address the email – write a brief note - (optional) then send the email
